Infineon recently announced the launch of the USB-IF certified 4-port hub controller - EZ-USB™ HX3. After multiple tests at the USB Plug Conference and third-party labs, the product has been proven to be perfectly compatible with all known host controllers, device types and operating systems. EZ-USB™HX3 supports multiple USB charging standards, including battery charging specification v1.2, Apple charging standard, YD/T1591-2006 and ACA-Dock.
The ACADock feature of the EZ-USB™ HX3 charges USB OTG-enabled smartphones or tablets and works simultaneously with USB devices connected to downstream ports. Additionally, it supports charging the battery on the downstream port, eliminating the need to connect the host to the upstream port.
