In unmanned large-scale automated factories, predictive maintenance is a scientific event that can help companies understand the status of equipment in a timely manner and intervene in maintenance when necessary. Compared with traditional time-based preventive maintenance, remote predictive maintenance can reduce downtime, resulting in significant cost savings and improved system reliability. To this end, Renesas has launched an innovative remote predictive maintenance solution, which evaluates the vibration, sound signal, temperature, humidity and other parameters of the machine through artificial intelligence algorithms, and communicates through LTE-M or NB-IoT and secure MQTT transmitted to the dashboard. If a possible failure is predicted, the system can remind staff to perform maintenance in advance through a Web browser.
At the heart of the solution is the RA6M5 MCU based on a high-performance 200MHz Arm Cortex-M33 core with up to 2MB of code flash (with background and SWAP operations), 8KB of data flash, and 512KB of SRAM (with parity/ECC) . This MCU is ideal for IoT applications requiring high security, rich connectivity, and large embedded RAM for connectivity stacks. The RA6M5 offers a variety of communication interface options, including CAN FD, Ethernet MAC with DMA, USB full-speed and high-speed, and various serial interfaces. In addition, RA6M5 is also supported by the flexible software package (FSP), an open and flexible ecosystem concept based on FreeRTOS, which can be extended to use other real-time operating systems (RTOS) and middleware.

Core device introduction:
In the selection of the power supply, the program uses the ISL9008A LDO regulator, the ISL9110 buck-boost switching regulator and the ISL854102 synchronous buck regulator. The ISL9008A LDO regulator can provide a continuous 150mA load current and has a low standby current. It can be used with an MLCC output capacitor of 1µF and an ESR inductor up to 200mΩ to provide efficient voltage regulation performance. The ISL9110 buck-boost switching regulator features up to 95% conversion efficiency and low standby current for battery-powered applications. The ISL854102 synchronous buck regulator has up to 2A output current capability and low dropout voltage, suitable for providing regulated voltage to MCU and other key components.
In addition, in order to realize real-time monitoring of the system, this solution also uses the MPU-6050 six-axis sensor module for measuring acceleration and angular velocity. The sensor module integrates a three-axis accelerometer and a three-axis gyroscope to provide accurate attitude and motion detection.
In general, this program uses DA14531MOD and RYZ024A as Bluetooth and LTE modules to realize device connection and data transmission. At the same time, it is equipped with components such as AT25SF128A Flash, HS3001 sensor, ISL9008A LDO regulator, ISL9110 buck-boost switching regulator, ISL854102 synchronous buck regulator and MPU-6050 six-axis sensor module to realize the storage of the system , temperature and humidity detection and real-time monitoring functions.
